My name is Erik Zeetsen and I have been a passionate lover, finder and collector of antiques & art and everything related to it for over 40 years.
At the age of 12, partly due to a talk "archaeology" in primary school, I started looking for Stone Age artefacts along the Maasakkers in Reuver, Limburg (municipality of Beesel), where I grew up in my youth.
From there, I developed into what I am doing now, sharing my passion and fascination for antiques & art.
Over the past decade, I have been active in : a.o. working professionally as a conservator for various museums and archaeological services, visiting many museums at home and abroad, collectors' fairs, antique markets and collecting special objects from various periods and eras.
The feeling and experience of holding an object hundreds of years old, used and handmade by the people who knew what they were doing is indescribable and captivating.
Especially in these days of disposable society and our busy lives, experiencing, looking and feeling a beautiful piece of antique or art object is all the more enjoyable.
It gives calm and enjoyable moments and is also a fine opportunity or topic for a nice conversation.
Now I have come to the point of sharing the feeling and my found objects with fellow lovers of antiques & art.
